Site tours
Darmstadt is the headquarters of Merck, the global pharmaceutical and chemical company. The Merck premises encompass 1.2 square
kilometers, with 8000 employees who work on the research and production of pharmaceuticals and chemicals, or who work in the
central corporate functions.
We offer site tours mainly to groups with a scientific background. These include university students, pupils in senior grades
taking specialized courses in chemistry, physics or biology, and vocational trainees in their last year of training. Visitors
from the local area are also warmly welcome.
During the customized tours, we explain Merck’s multifaceted activities. Visitors gain insight into the world of pharmaceuticals
and chemicals and see dedicated employees doing a wide variety of jobs.
