Committed to the well-being of the community

At our Gernsheim site we seek to maintain good relations with our neighbors. As part of the community Merck has a policy of actively shaping its environment and establishing long-term partnerships, since a positive environment is a vital factor in the way the Gernsheim site will develop. For example, as part of our school partnership scheme, we promote and support the teaching of science at the local grammar school and at the Gutenberg School in Gernsheim. We also provide financial support to local clubs and groups, especially those involving youth activities.

Merck wants to be accepted as a good corporate citizen of the region and assumes responsibility not only for its own actions but also for the well-being of the community.
